Help with my crossword! $7,000 to win!

The local newspaper is offering $7,750 to the person who can solve this cross word and I need some help!
It gives us 2 words, and one word goes into the space and the other is wrong, just to make it clear you guys don't win the money but you can help me!!!

These are the ones I am stuck on!

1 down- There may well be trouble if no one pays attention to the orders ______ gives.
options- Diner or Diver

18 across- A rash _____ has caused disastrous situations for many people.
Speeding or Spending

17 across- Fans may well get some insight into future performances from ______.
Trainer or Trailer
(Train is the name of a band so I am leaning towards that)

I AM SURE THESE ARE CORRECT!!!( And couldn't you just make 2 copies and do 1 of each answer on each one???)
