Hi all,

We have two rescue hens, Lucy and Ethel, and Ethel became broody, so we bought fertilised eggs for her. Three out of five hatched. Two of them are Jersey Giants - both girls, we think. But one of them is a Barred Rock. We assumed he was a boy, as he has always had lighter legs, and he had the white patch on his head. They are 7 weeks old now, and from the videos and images I've seen, he should be bigger and have all his feathers by now. Also, from what I've read, boy Barred Rocks, should have a comb by now, and he doesn't. Other than that, he seems completely fine. Has anyone else had this with their Barred Rocks? Sorry about the photo quality, the cheeky fella wouldn't stay still.

I would love any advice you can give. Thanks so much.
