Help with my quail hatch!

Help! Well I got over 20 button quail eggs that went in to bator on wensday morning. So they have been in fo about 8 days. At day one my bator fell of the table and they got garred around prety good. A few mins ago I tryed to candle them. Out of the first 4 eggs I looked at 3 were cracked. I stoped my candleing and took those 3 out. I cracked each on a plate, and 2 of them had a harder dark part of the yoke kinda like a particaly cooked hardboiled egg. The other was undeveloped. Did I end up killing 2 chicks? And also do you think they will hatch after the fall? And if there cracked a little will they hatch? Thanks ~Bryan

Sounds like they had started to dry out, which would be caused from the cracks in them. You can try to fix them with wax if you catch it soon enough. Sometimes it works. The others could still hatch, but you should check the rest to see if they are cracked too.

Should I throw them out if they are cracked at 8 days old?

Probably, since the ones you opened were starting to dry up. At 8 days they are about halfway done, so if there were babies in them you would have seen them. But you can always try to fix them and keep your fingers crossed....you never know!

Well I Quickly candled the rest and none seemed cracked. I noticed that there was a air bubble that moved around when u roated the egg. A few had dark blobs in them. Thanks for your help!
