help with new hens

18 weeks, that is a good guess...I 2nd that. One of mine, the one with the most gold in her...is VERY friendly, I can carry her around like a cat...the other one...look out! Keep an eye on the combs...mine started at around 20 weeks or so...

If that chicken is 8 months old and not laying yet, it might be a rooster in drag.

I think even in winter or with change of daylight if it's time to lay it will. My two sexlinks are right at 28 weeks and give about 5 eggs each a week. Yep, if it's time it's time.
