HELP with newly hatched peachick!

After a chick pips, the yolk is sucked into the abdomen and the blood supply is cost off to the membrane. It may have hatched a little early and have a little yolk sac that did not make it inside. Just let it fall off. I am not sure you needed to do anything to the feet just yet.

My opinion is yes. See what happens over the next 24-36 hours first. You may get differing opinions. I have had many birds that initially walked on one or both elbows immediately after hatching instead of the feet bottom and it straightened itself out fairly quickly without assistance.

That little guy just did as much work as it is ever going to do. It needs rest to get its systems back online.

Ok, thank you! Should I move the little one to the brooder as soon as the small yolk sac dries up? I have feed and water with vitamin/electrolyte supplement added ready for when it is ready to be transitioned over.

It won't eat or probably drink for a day yet,,you may need to dip it's beek in the water tomorrow morning so it know where water is.

The chick is doing quite well now except it is still having trouble walking. The toes aren't curled nearly as bad as earlier, but it moves in spurts in a hopping/dragging manner. I don't think its legs are splayed. I'll update in the morning.

If it's leggs was splayed,it wouldn't be able to get up at all,,,

Move the little guy when it's dry. It will take a day or two to fully stand and walk. Keep an eye on the toes, they should straighten out but if they don't then give him the boots LOL!
