Help with poor Polish head

Lol, its worth a try...I did throw in a hardboiled egg to distract them when I put her back in...it worked for about 3 seconds!

I forgot to ask you if that is cooked or raw burger??
Prolly a stupid question from me .. ha

Has anyone ever tried bitter apple on the head of the crested breeds to see if the other chickens will stop pecking them? It is made for dogs that lick hot spots or there is a version of it for parrots that feather pluck.

I never thought of bitter apple.. any body tried it yet?
My poor lil polish is doomed to a life alone. Tried to put her back in the pen last night and they just converged on her in about 2 seconds pecking at her head. They just dont want her in with them.
Feel bad for her cause she cries in the box, wont eat or drink unless I take her out to the hen house and shoo out the other birds so she can eat. Doing this twice a day so she eats and drinks. she is so stressed that she has occasional watery stools.
I am afraid to even get another Polish, what if it doesnt accept her?
HELP!

My polish peck on each other. I have 2 bald ones. A breeder told me to mix water and flour to a thick consistence then use a piece of cotton ball spread out and spread over the head like paper mache. Then put in the bathroom in the tub with the light off for about 2 hours to let it dry. They will stay in the tub and not move if it's totally dark.

On the polish website they suggest: try putting big chunks of styrafoam in the pen. Hang them up. The birds will spend hours playing with these chunks. http://groups.msn.com/PolishChickens/tipsandideas.msnw

Update!
Well, we decided to try letting the polish free range with our 2 banties. At first the banties were giving her a hard time but it has been 4 days now and they seem to be getting along pretty good. As far as free rangin goes, they are really just hanging around the pen all day by the big chicks.
Well last night my husband put the polish in the small hen house with the two banties when they were asleep and they did just fine together. SO she has found a NEW home with the banties, they have adopted her.....WHEW!
Thanks for all your help everyone..
