I also think you can get a lot more than $10 for purebred Marans. They go for big bucks in some places. A lot of places you have to pay that much for a day old chick. I'd say $15-25 for the Marans hens. If you were selling a ready to lay flock- $125-150 for PB Marans. But it's still going to depend on demand in your area. One thing-advertise slightly more than you actually expect to get. It seems a lot of people want to bargain or talk you down. If you start out asking a bit more, you can lower your price, and everyone walks away happy.
