Help with Quail ID

Have you looked at the 2 threads on colors and varieties in the "sticky threads" ?

It is the very first thread on this page and loaded with great info.

I think the first one looks like a rosetta and the other two tibetans, but I'm not sure about the white markings on the second bird, looks kind of like a tuxedo. The quail lady could probably give you a better idea of what the colours are

The first one is a Rosetta (British Range) tuxedo (pied), second is a Dark Tibetan (Dark Range) tuxedo, last is a Rosetta (British Range). It is impossible to tell the sex of these birds by their color.

Rosetta (British Range) have tan stripes in the middle of their feathers and Tibetan (Dark Range) don't. Is that correct?

Pied is the white spots/feathers/areas.

Could English Whites be considered (super) pied wild-type? Most of them have brown wild-type spots, but I would think they are essentially pied but in large areas.

I believe the english or A&M whites are in fact 'double' pied, though I'm not sure on that. Quaillady would know more

The whites have two doses for pied, so yes.
