I absolutely love my ducks and have gotten more into the specific breeding over the last couple years but i am nearly Clueless when it comes to genetics!
Last year I had only 1 Blue Fawn hen, Kahlua. This year i am very happy to have 2 hens from Kahlua, both Blue Fawns and have very pretty coloring, BUT, they're Bibbed. Kahlua is Solid Blue Fawn & Angus (their daddy) was Chocolate with some chest freckles & white head. My questions are...
Is the Bibbed coloring something they will pass on?
Is it dominant?
If i breed these 2 girls to a Solid Chocolate drake, will the offspring most likely color in with a White Bib or will i only get a percentage of bibbed ducklings?
Ideally I would like to get more Solid Blue Fawns. The new Drake is Solid Chocolate and has a very nice, Big & deep body type like my other Muscovies. Thanks for any help
