Help With Run?

I didn't think of the mosquitos, but maybe I can figure something out, or buy the lids that go on the buckets and cut a 2x4 hole in that and caulk it?
Just drill drain holes thru sides of buckets at top of concrete.
Try to slope top of concrete, just like you would in the ground.

I was jjust thinking... Where the pencil lines are drawn, should I add 2x4s there as well or do yall think it would be fine with just the blue dotted lines?

Sorry and thank you for replies!

I discern no color in the drawing.....nor can I tell which are the pencil lines.
Sill wonder why the 5' panels, might be wasteful of typical 8' lumber?

Oh sorry, on my monitor I can see the colors fine and I am not really sure how to explain what portion I mean.

I am doing 5-foot panels because I am buying 10' 2x4s. I figured making them in 5' panels would be easier to set up than 10' panels. And anways, it's cheaper for me to buy 10' in bulk than 8', as funny as that sounds. This way there is little to no waste as well.

Ooooohhhh, good!! Usually 2x4's are 8'.
Carry on, don't mind me :D

I want to thank everyone for their help! I think I have the run just about figured out and hopefully should be getting the wood soon! Any more suggestions are always welcomed as it'll be a little while before I get it fully set up. :)

I have a suggestion for a bucket alternative that's less ugly. You can use these concrete footer blocks (Home Depot sells them for like 5 bucks). Then you can spray paint them brown so they blend in with the ground. Less ugly, and it saves you the work of mixing and pouring concrete!

I used a bunch of these in the places where I couldn't drill into the ground (because of roots and rocks). They ended up looking pretty nice:

They do work best with 4x4 posts instead of 2x4, but I'd recommend using 4x4 instead of 2x4 anyway, especially if you plan to put a tarp or anything else over the top that will accumulate snow and weigh everything down.
