Hi all. New chicken mama. I’ve posted a couple times trying to get some confirmation on some suspected Roos and haven’t gotten much response. Will be rehoming the boys out to my mom’s ranch this coming weekend and need some added confidence on whose a boy. Here’s the last photos I had taken, but will post fresh ones tomorrow. Reasons for suspected Roos: larger combs and very floofy tails. Photo attached is of my Delaware, who was my fav and will be so sad to rehome.

How old is your chicky? I've got 4 week old Delawares and 3 of them I'm pretty darn sure are roos. Bright red combs already and bigger than the other chickies. Yours doesn't quite have the red I'm seeing on mine as far as I can tell from this photo.
Also, while looking for info on how to answer this question for myself I ran across a post from someone else with a 6 week old Delaware on this site. Most of the responses were quite certain she had a roo, the lady was sad as it was her favorite chicky. At 14 weeks she reposted photos and was once again told roo. She very happily replied later that her 'roo' had just laid her first egg. 'Buddy' just happened to be a fine, strapping hen with large and brightly colored comb and wattles!

Ok, here are some photos from this morning. 4 weeks and a few days old

While we’re at it, what say you about my buff Orpington? This ones tail feathers and comb are far bigger than his sister’s, so assuming roo. Second photo is them side by side, suspected roo is on the right hand side. Thanks in advance!

Need closer up picture of head and tail feathers.

That comb seems pretty yellow for a Cockerel. Based off of that pic I’d say a hen. But need better pictures to be sure.
