Help with silkie eggs

No we just got them about a month ago. And there over a year n a half old
If she is laying and he is mounting then they should be over any moving stress.
Also learn to ID fertility by looking at yolks.
Do you have other females with other males?
I'd try trimming butts....but I wonder, skeptic that am, if that's why they were sold(because the male is infertile).
 
A friend of mine had a silkie that always laid infertile eggs while the rest of the flock was fertile. She trimmed her vent area and shorty after starter laying fertile eggs!

We only have the 2 silkies we do have other chickens but there all still to young. I don’t think that’s why he sold them. We went to buy a pair of pheasants and just happen to ask if he had silkies and he did.

I would crack a few eggs open and check for the bullseye, If it is there than you could have a problem with your incubator?

Thanx for that pic. I did actually crack them open and some had the white dot can’t remeber if they all did it not tho lol

Good luck! I hatched my first babies this weekend and I am absolutely in love with them! but WARNING: Incubating and hatching eggs can be addictive. Once you start it may be hard to stop!

Lol oh I know. We’ve hatched numerous button quails and just recently did 3 Easter eggers 3 Silerlaced wyendot and 3 black copper marons. And I’ve got a dozen Ringneck pheasant eggs to do.

Right! I will be setting almost 100 coturnix eggs saturday. Plus i have broody hens hatching this week and next. Been getting babies everyday since thursday!

Oh holy shit lol you’ve got a busy busy place there eh wow lol that’s awesome. We’re apperently getting coturnix sometime soon
