Help with Silkie Sexing

Hi all,

I have 4 pure silkies I’m looking to get sexed. They are all approx 6wks old. Yes I know it’s early, but I enjoy guessing as it goes. Feel free to help me out

You definitely need to wait. That being said their combs look pretty well developed for their age so I would be suspicious too that they are all roosters. Give it time.

It'll take another several weeks before we can be sure. That being said, I must agree that those combs are developed to a degree that seems rather....suspect.

Don’t listen , plug your ears !!

They look beautiful !! you won’t know anything for another month or two or til they crow , my hen crowed , or til an egg appears ...... just make sure they can see , buy blunt nose scissors and trim those cheeks .
