Help with silkies.

Hello everyone, I went to this game breed swap in mn. I bought 5 silkies. Two of them Two of them can't be more than 6 months old, I don't know, but anyway. Two of them were very dirty and had poop stuck to their bums, so I decided to give them a bath and clean them up. I didn't notice when I was giving them the bath, but they have these bugs all over them. They look kind of like fleas, I need to know how to get rid of them. They are infested with them. It is making my head itch just thinking about it. I am getting ready to give the next one its bath, any ideas of how to get rid of them. Please help.

they are mites. DE will get rid of them and also there is a shampoo that will get rid of them at a pet store or farm supply store

Do you think that the vet would have it, and do I need to treat myself too.

mites wont bother you but they do want to make you itch. if you have a vet that know avian care he/she may have it

do you bath them in it or sprinkle it on them or what

if its a shampoo you bathe them. since they are silkies you go from head to tail with the hairdryer on low
