I need help with the definitions used when speaking about chickens as far as pullets and stags and all the terms i ran inot a post one day here with all that info but i cant find it hope some one can help me out!

A pullet is a female chicken under the age of one year old. One year old or older and she's a hen.
A cockerel is a male chicken under the age of one year old. One year old or older and he's a rooster.
I've never heard the term stag used to describe a male chicken; only cockerel, rooster or cock.

stag is used to describe a male that is just getting his spurs in...bull stag has spurs but is still young...these were terms used by those that raised gamebirds.

I have, usually in reference to gamecocks. No idea if it means a young animal or an old one, though.
