Help with this breed

Hey all,
I got sold this chick at a week old, i was told it was a black araucana.
Can anyone please tell me the real breed or what its crossed with im a little confused.
Im also leaning towards rooster as well.

i also have a frizzle lavender araucana, can anyone guess his/hers sex? new to frizzles.

It may have some araucana in it, but with that crest I believe it to be a mixed breed, and I'm thinking it's a roo.

i was afraid of that, i do not like rehoming the boys, wish i a bigger yard.

Keep in mind the Australian standard for Araucana is tufted or untufted, crested or not, tails or not. This could be an Australian standard body shape, but I'd guess your black one was bred from another color mixed with the black.
I agree, these could be cockerels.

the lavender is 11 weeks and the black one is 8-9 weeks

First looks to be a cockerel.

The black one likely has mostly Araucana in it, but its either poorly bred or not pure.

Don't forget the Australian standard is different than the US.

First one is a mixed breed. How old is it? The Frizzle looks like a pullet.
