Help with worms and ACV

I am going to use wazine in the water. then will follow with ivermectin 10 days later the Wazine will go in the water then 10 days later I will use the Ivermectin on the skin the use ACV and DE as a preventive and I will be de-worming the chickens at least once a year from now on. I think I have roundworms the poop looked like there was very thin white worms in it. but with the 2 de-wormers that was recommended to me they should kill all the worms. dawg53 was and is very helpful with all the confusing information out there. I am going to start with the Wazine tomorrow and then 10 days do the ivermectin I know that I will have to throw the eggs away for the 10 days following the wazine and then for 2 weeks after the ivermectin. I have found that waiting until you see the worms in the poop or eggs means that the infestation is really bad which is what i have so I really need to get on top of this quickly. Thanks for all the helpful answers and posts they made figuring out this much easier. and thanks dawg53 you where a great help for a newbie.

Good to hear that you were able to connect with dawg53. He's a real good egg

I put about 2 tsp. to 1 qt. of water... Actually, I free pour it, so it's like a healthy glug of ACV in the quart size waterer for the little girls and about 4 healthy glugs to a gallon for the big girls.

I use 4 tablespoons for a 3 gallon water jug. I have seen people use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water or 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. I choose 4 and it seems to work really well. good luck and thank your Motherjean for your advice about dawg53 your are right he is a great egg and very helpful even with some stupid newbie questions.

I used the wazine yesterday, so the first part of the de-worming is done will use safeguard in 10 days to finish the de-worming process. I decided to use the safeguard because it seems a little easier to me for a newbie to use, I will use the Ivermectin next year when I de-worm again.

On a side note, don't throw those eggs away yet! You can give them to you're dogs and cats! Or scramble and give them back to your chickens! I wouldn't eat them but it doesn't mean your critters can't. I kno alot of ppl that do this!

No. Do not give the eggs back to any animal, it's best to throw them away. That's why there's a 14 day withdrawal period because there's wazine in the eggs. Whether it be even a trace amount or whatever....it would extend the withdrawal time for the chickens...you dont want that! Furthermore, whatever amount is in the eggs, wazine isnt for dogs or other critters unless it's a turkey or hog you're planning on worming....says so on the label.
