I've been laid-up due to minor surgery and my son inadvertently bought and fed medicated feed to the boys set for slaughter.

They have been on it for 5 days.

How long should I keep them on it and how long after feeding them non-medicated feed can they be butchered?

Some would say less but I would get them and standard feed for a couple weeks before slaughter. Save the medicated for your next set of chicks.

I went to their website and they don't list the ingredients but the FAQ's mentioned Amprolium so I assume that's what it is.

Thanks for your help!

The "medicated" is not antibiotic if it is amprollum. That is vitamin based. Even antibiotic is not a problem unless you are allergic to the antibiotic, which, of course, means you can't sell birds until after the withdrawal period because you don't know which customers might be allergic to antibiotic.

Your birds are fine. You can send your son down for another bag of feed and switch feeds, or if you aren't butchering for awhile, go ahead and feed it and then switch at least a few days before butchering.
