Hi!
So this morning when I went to give my girls food and fresh water I noticed my RIR's comb has yellow crust on it and some yellow crust on corners of her beak? I believe she also has bumble foot she is limping. She was perfectly fine yesterday evening. My Ameraucana also has some yellow crust on corners of beak.
Please help. It's my first flock and even though I have read about ALL the crazy diseases and ailments I still feel incredibly unprepared.

To treat and prevent bacterial infections that arise with the virus, for three days you should add 1 tablespoon of powdered Terramycin per gallon to your birds' water. Putting a mix of sulfur power and petroleum jelly (2 teaspoons sulfur per 1 cup petroleum jelly) on the birds' lesions and scabs will soothe the affected areas and keep the parasites away.

you may want to also treat the other birds since fowl pox can spread, such as vaccinations for the disease. I am so sorry about your sweet hen!:(

Is there any chance of it being chicken food stuck on there? I couldn't tell in the photos.
If so, it's really easy to treat (wash it off.)

If it's anything else, I don't know what to do about it.

This might be fowl pox. Fowl Pox effects the comb, face, and legs.
So they have had fowl pox for about 2 weeks and most of them seem to be getting over it the black spots have mostly gone away. They have ALL been eating well except for a couple of days they didn't eat as much. They are all very lively and talkative as per usual.

I did not know fowl pox turned yellow too? Is it maybe more of an infection now on this particular bird?

Haha I thought it was food this morning and I don't know about you but I talk to my girls and I told her how messy she was eating but when I touched it, it wouldn't come off. Feels bumpy. I'm going to try to get better pictures.

Yes, fowl pox can turn yellow. I will do more research and get back to you in a few minutes!

There are 2 types of pox: wet and dry. Dry = black scabs. Wet = yellow crust and cankers.

It will pass, too, but is more troublesome because the lesions can get inside their mouths and throats. I'd check inside their beaks. If you see lesions, you can try to remove them with something like a qtip.

ETA: It's also viral, so it just needs to run its course. But I would watch them closely. It can cause breathing complications. And it's dangerous for chicks.
