Help----yellow yolk in the nesting box

Trap nests is the only sure fire way that I know, but that has it's own challenges...including being around to release hens.
A good surveillance camera might work too, but then you've got several hours of video to review and even then might be hard to see who left what in what nest.

How many birds do you have?
Do you have separate enclosures that you could segregate the hens in? Tho that presents other challenges.

I would love to set up a camera. I have eight hens. I'm going to get up early and spend a few days in the pen observing who lays what egg. Out of my eight hens three are green egg layers. So it's only four I'm focusing on.

Well, only 4 to watch helps.... last summer my 6 pullets all laid distinctly different eggs, once I figured out which was whose, by spending hours watching, it was easy to track their production.

I have a 5 month old Rhode Island who's been laying once everyday for a week now in the same nesting box and today I found what looks like yolk soaked shavings. She's eating and drinking fine I'm not sure what to think I'm hoping it's just a shell less egg. Could it be related if they've all just recently dewormed?
