Well.. If there is a white, button quail sized egg in an enclosure that has no other egg laying species than buttons, I'd say chances are you got a white button quail egg. If, however, there are species in the enclosure that usually lay white eggs of the size in question, you probably don't have a white button egg - but you could have.
 
Well, I didn't understand the question. Could you elaborate a little on what the problem is?
 
Is the egg shell white or are you trying to hatch out a white bird?

Even if both parents are white there is a good chance that the chicks will be many colored. If you have bred your white buttons for many generations then you might get white chicks but then it is still genetic chance...law of probability I think is what its called.
