HELP!!

This chick just died. This is chick #3. To clarify, these chicks were just hatched on Monday, so I really don't believe that it's coccidiosis. I don't see how they could have contracted it and died so quickly. The first chick died on Thursday and two died today. The first two seemed to have issues from the get-go, maybe just a failure to thrive thing? I know it's not uncommon for SOME chicks to die when you get an order in the mail, but if there is something I can do to prevent further death, I'd like to do it. They've been getting medicated feed from the start.

We just completely cleaned out their brooder, bleached the bottom (which is covered with plastic anyway) and placed fresh pine bedding back in the brooder. Hopefully if there was anything in there causing issues, it's gone now.

Any further thoughts would be greatly appreciated...hopefully this is just the typical loss from a big batch and we don't lose anymore.

treat with Amprolium as soon as you can treat the entire flock. brand name for Amprolium is Corid or it could go by different names where you live for brand. go to feed store and ask for Amprolium. Treat as soon as possible!!

Medicated feed has very low dosage of Amprolium in it. It's not strong enough to treat coçci beak out and is only for preventing. Please get Amprolium and give them dosage of treatment. Coccidiosis can wipe out your flock very quickly.
