My chick pipped through its shell some time during the night. It is still alive but it's been about 12 hours that I know of and there's no change in the size of the hole. I really don't want it to die. What should I do? Or is this normal? And they were 4 days early so I didn't know one was hatching so I turned over and saw it was hatching... could turning it over have ruined everything?

It's normal for a chick to take a good 24 hours between it progressing from pip to zipping. My concern would be the idea of it being 4 days early. When did you set them and if they are yours could they have been incubated in the coop prior to collection? And no, turning them during hatch won't hurt them or I'd never have success. You have your humidity up?

4 of them are 4 days early and I'm not really sure, I got them from a friend and yes it is! Thank you!

And does it matter how close the eggs are to each other? They are sort of in groups of 3s cause that's how I got them to stop rolling
