I am glad you joined us!

In answer to your question I would say yes on tiny pieces of lettuce but no on the apple slices. Make sure they also have chick grit available to them.

Here are a few other good places to look

Here is a link to the "Where Am I, Where Are You" Forum. Hopefully you can find some people from your state of Tennessee!

The Learning Center is a great place to look for ideas and learn lots of new things!

Hope this helps!

Good luck with your chicks!

Welcome!

Feeding Treats was a recent Topic of the Week and one of the questions asked and answered was - At what age can you start offering chicks treats and how do you go about it? so you might find this thread helpful: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1161068/topic-of-the-week-feeding-treats

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
