I am new to this chicken thing. We have 5 18 week old hens. One of them started laying eggs two days ago. She is now making like a whistle sound every once in awhile and has watery poop. I'm assuming it is diarrhea. What could be causing this?? I have done a ton of research and I can't find an answer. She doesn't have discharge from her eyes or nose and is not struggling to breathe. Both her eggs were completely normal. Could it be worms? Should I treat her and the flock?

Can you post a picture of the poop?
Is it really hot where you are...is she drinking a lot of water?
You really shouldn't just treat for worms, unless you can collect some poop and bring it in to the nearest vet to have a fecal test done, it's cheap and most all vets will do it.

Hey! I can't take a picture of the poop now. It is dark. It is hot. We are in nc. 90 to 95 degrees this week. Could that be causing a problem?
