I'm Carolynn

I'm still kind of new to the chicken and duck raising. My chickens are almost 5 months now and have been laying between 15-21 a day. I have isa browns and bantams. Most of the eggs for my isa browns are average size. Then I have these huge eggs. Not sure if it's a duck egg or not. I've also had many double yolks. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Huge eggs which usually are double yolkers are normal for new layers.

Enjoy the huge eggs while they last

I usually get 2 or 3 huge eggs a day. I have 2 female ducks that are due to start laying any time. They sleep in with the chickens at night, but roam the fenced in back yard with my 2 dogs. Dozer which is male has chased my chihauau and bit his tail. So now when Dozer starts chasing the femal ducks my little dog bites him in the butt. Not hard enough to hurt him, but is funny. My jack russell and the chihauau will help round the 9 ducks up for bed every night. We will tell them round 'em up boys and they follow them to the coop and makes sure they go to bed.
