My new chicken won’t leave the roosting area. I think she comes down to eat but she stayed up there all day.

Did you first introduce her in a look no touch pen ?
The other Birds need time before you introduce her...

Is she an only "hen" ?
She might just be unsure of her new surroundings, or the others aren't being kind to her.

How old? What breeds do you keep? What breed is the new one?

Some breeds can be shyer and some more dominant.
