can you bring her to a friends house? This situation is BAD

I agree the initial situation was bad but if you kept reading the rest of the thread, you would see that she is in the garage now, which is MUCH warmer. Like 33 degrees C difference, almost 60 degree difference F.

It says the initial temp is -23° C which, yes, would be horrible. But if you kept reading, she says it's PLUS 10° C inside.

This is the equivalent of -9.4° F to 50° F.

Which is plenty warm.

I realize Celsius sounds much colder or hotter than it really is but the garage is 50 degrees. The dog is fine.

I also realize the initial post and even first few pages sound really concerning and upset a lot of people, myself included, and that a lot of people are busy and don't have timd to read it all, but she stated the garage thing at the top of the 4th page. Also if you're that concerned and/or going to comment, you should at least try to find out their current status.

Sorry if this is mean or rude, it is not my intention.

I know we are concerned but the situation is fine now. :)

Thank you.
I myself was very concerned at the beginning. Outside temps are currently -39°C outside! However, we all came to an agreement which worked for everyone. I am ever thankful for that.

Hey guys. No pups. Today is her due date. Crossing my fingers for pups- she seems to be pranking us and laughing at our frustration! It is tough to know if she is actually in labour because the first time round, she showed no signs of labour.
Unfortunately we have conflict again. While we were gone, one of my two caretakers decided to meddle. She changed her diet from dog food to meat (River is fed table scraps like fat and bones, but not as a sole diet) just because she is "anti dog food". I'm sure we can all agree that was unfair to a pregnant dog. Then she also decided to take it upon herself to phone 3 vets, asking what temperature was safe for dogs to give birth in. They all said 10 degrees, but we think this caretaker messed up and interpreted it as MINUS 10 degrees (all celsius).
So, my dad wants to move her back outside now. I am nonetheless very frustrated. Our temps have gone from -30 to -40°, but now are hovering at an average of -10°C. Warm, but not warm enough.
We talked to our vet about it. She said +10 was safe, not minus 10. Yet my dad still argued, saying it was bullsh*t. In my opinion he really shouldn't be allowed to have animals if he argues a vet's knowledge :(
However I'm not moved out yet, still going to post secondary so I'm voiceless. Just thought I'd update you all. Hopefully she can have her puppies safely, inside. :)
