My Sebright Hen Hen won't drink water. My father brought her home because the others were pecking her and beating on her. They wouldn't allow her to eat or nothing. She eats alot, but she cries alot at well. She won't drink water but I mix water into her chick starter. She's interested in Human food (Such as bread) but no grass, nothing. This is the first Hen I've had and would love for her to live.

Welcome to BYC. How can you be certain that she is not drinking. The crying is out of loneliness. Chickens are flock animals. She misses her flock even though they were picking on her.

I have been hand feeding her, I try to give her water, she pecks at it but shakes it out of her mouth. She just wants her chick starter. I just soak it in water and that's it. My father said that Sebright chickens are evil, so he's thinking about Button quails for her so she won't be lonely.

She won't walk neither because her leg is sprained. We've let her sleep, she tries to flap her wings but she falls and cries. I baby her as I did with my Canada goose. (He has now passed away due to him being sick for years)
