If “baby” is in the last picture and is the Black with the coppery red around her neck/head then I would say Black Sexlink. She looks exactly like my Black Sexlink pullet.View attachment 1532783 View attachment 1532782 View attachment 1532780 View attachment 1532778 View attachment 1532781
Thank you! Are the saddle feathers the ones that kind of start on their back and if they’re long they droop down almost like a saddle blanket would (trying to use context clues)Here are the pics I got tonight. Sorry they’re not great, these guys (or gals) are a lot friendlier because they spent a few weeks in our basement because they were extra small when I got them. I’ve included a pic of the other “baby” (black kind of red head) of the the group... does anyone know what she is? She’s been one of my favorites out of the group.
What a rotten start to chicken keeping. That seems a bit dishonest to sell you a bunch of “sexed” pullets then not stand behind the birds when they are so obviously wrong.
At least when I bought my chicks at the feed store they were upfront about the fact that their “sexed” chicks were only 90% and that there was a chance we would end up with a Rooster.
It sounds like at least you are prepared to deal with the over abundance of boys.
I personally love sex linked birds for that reason.....you know you are getting girls! I wish more local people bred and sold Sexlink varieties here.
