Have chicken and Dupage Country will not let me keep them! Anyone have information to get around this? In the violation code there is not one mention of chickens and I mean the word chickens. Any information would be helpful since one of my wonderful neighbors got a wild hair up their BUTT and complained, I asked each one of them meaning ones around me but none want to fess up to calling. I am so done with Dupage Country and now will be putting my home on the market to get out of here asap! My grandchildren are now upset because they have raised them from chicks. I would be willing to pay fine and get a permit but there is not concrete wording. PLEASE Help I am incorporated Milton township which is who told me I could own chickens but 8 was the limit.

Get one of your grandkids to join 4-H, then they will get a permit that lets them raise poultry, or whatever they are showing. I am pretty sure the permit even allows them to raise roosters in not rooster zones.
