I have found that they don't neccessarily peck at the wound. Just make sure you watch them for a while.
I had a chick that was scalped by a blue jay in with a chick that had a broken leg for 3 weeks. There was no picking at wounds going on. The two were best buds.
There are also products you can buy to stop the picking. I use Rooster Booster. It stings when you put it on though, so I don't like to use it unless I have to. It will also stain your clothing and your skin. I use a cotton swab to apply it.

They're establishing a pecking order- just monitor them, jump in only if necessary and keep some antibiotic ointment handy.

If you need to separate them out, any kind of feeder and waterer will do, just keep them clean. I have used a dishpan for water and a piepan for food many times.
