I took my two babie buff orps outside to get some fresh air, and one of my older chickens ran at one and pecked her on the neck! The area is bloody! what should i do?

Take a deep breath. She'll most likely be fine. Is she still bleeding. You can stop the bleeding by applying pressure using a cotton ball. You could also apply styptic powder or corn starch. It may take a minute or so.

If she is acting normal it should heal up no problem. I would just make sure when you take them out from now on you have a safe place for them to roam.

I would also add more info to the post name the just Help! A title like "Help chick got pecked and is bleeding" would get more responses.

You can rinse it with saline solution to clean it. Don't use hydrogen peroxide as it damages healthy tissue. Make sure the other chick doesn't peck at the wound.

she has stopped bleeding. if i put her back with the other chick, will he peck at the wound?
