I need to know of I should trust a hatching thermometer or the actual incubator thermostat? I have a hatching thermometer in the bator that says it is about 5 degrees warmer than the actual incubator. I am in a bad spot since I already put the eggs in, I was told the incubator has to be right, but I don't see why the thermometer would be wrong. Any help would be very welcome.

It is a Genesis Hova-Bator 1588, Brand new last week.

Do you have any other thermometer's in the house you can calibrate with.
I have this one, but the temp it showed wasn't even close to the other two.

So, this is what I have now. 1. Hatch Thermometer that says 105°F, 1. House thermometer that says 98.6°F and is going up still verrrry slowly, so I think it's about where it's going to be, and the incubator says 99.4°F. I think it's still adjusting to the other thermostat being in there. What do you think about going by the two closest to each other and maybe upping the temp by a degree?

I think that would still average me out to be in the correct range of temps.
