I think the heating element has gone out and/ or thermostat. I am on day 3 and pulled and egg out to candle and it didn't feel warm like it should. Thermostat on incubator is saying 99, but when I put separate thermostat in it says 88. I bought some eggs for this incubation, last one was a week ago and I had a 99 percent hatch rate. I am freaking out! I don't know which is right and if it isn't warm enough, how do I get it heated up to temp? Fan is working. What can I do? Thank you for your help!

Once you get a bona fide 99.5 to 100.0 degrees, I think you're okay only 3 days. But that temp needs to be a real steady temp including moving the eggs position daily like inside egg to outside egg. This deals with the microsystems. If need be I have used bubble wrap or a towel loosly over the bator to help with swings in temp. I don't think you'll see any growth till day 6. Keep your humidity low for 18 days and high for the last 3. I learned the hart way that temp being rock solid and rotating the insiders to the outside, etc. are really more important than humidity. (I feel like I'm hatching with you)!
