My chicken got attacked by a fox.We have her inside .She has 1 big laceration near the egg laying part. She is healing but she smells like urine.
We clean her house 1 or twice a day.She just disperses urine. And when she poops 1 or twice a day its black with blood. The urine sticks to her feathers. We gave her a sit bath to try and clean it off.But it just sticks to the root of the feather. Is it urine or something else. Please help.
 
Chickens excrete white uric acid from the kidneys, and that does make the droppings smell like urine. Can you post pictures of her soiled feathers and her droppings? I would clean her up as she needs it. Was her vent damaged in the fox attack? Vent gleet might be a possibility, and that can cause a continuous leakeage from the vent. An antifungal cream found in the horse supplies at feed stores called Nustock cream can be applied daily to her vent. Here is some reading about vent gleet:
