Many of you told me to give away both my roosters (I had 2 roosters and a hen) so then today I gave away both roosters... I was really upset but I hope they are happy where they came from (the farm). I just hope the owner won’t eat the rooster or sell it.
I was really sad but I think it’s better for the bothof us it was a tough decision though.

we bought 2 more hens and both of them are slightly bigger than my other hen. They seem okay but occasionally they bite. I was wondering was the decision I made good? And I just can’t stop thinking abt my roosters:(

Yes. You made the best decision for your hen. Your new girls have just had a major change in their lives, so they’re going to be scared for a bit. Instead of trying to hold or pet them right away, let them get used to you first. If it’s big enough, put a chair out in their run and just go sit quietly out there with them. Toss them something yummy, a bit out from you, not real close, and just sit as they check it out. After a few days, toss the treats closer, etc. Sooner or later they will recognize you as the Bringer of Good Things, and come running to you. They may eventually even become lap chickens. I truly do believe this will be a far better experience for you than if you’d have kept the two roosters.
