I have a dozen ducks and 2 geese I’ve had for over a year now. on Tuesday I decided to take in a third goose. The lady I got him from didn’t really tell me anything about him just that she wanted to rehome him due to having too many males for her females. My birds free range in my back yard which is fenced in. It’s about 2 acres so there is plenty of room for them to roam. This woman had something similar. I put him in my backyard and walk inside to get some food to feed the rest of the flock. When I walked out he was flying through my backyard and flew right into the chain link fence. He was swaying back and forth and was pretty cut up. So I took him inside and gave him an epson salt bath, which he wanted nothing to do with. He just sat there. I made him a set up with food and water inside in a dark warm area thinking maybe he had a concussion. It has now been 3 days, he has hardly drank anything, if he’s drank anything. He hasn’t eaten and wants nothing to do with any of the veggies I’ve tried to give him. I’ve given him a few more epson salt baths and the cuts on his beak are getting much better, but he still won’t eat or drink. He has horrible balance and I’m worried about him. Is there anything you think I should do to help him? Any advice would be appreciated:)

Put an antibiotic ointment on his beak, and use a needleless syringe to give him sugar water. You can also clip your birds' wings to make sure that doesn't happen again.

I would worry that he broke or fractured something hitting the fence, or that he swallowed something toxic or caught an infection prior to you getting him.

It might help to add food to a bowl of water, think like a soupy mix, that’s the best way to get him eating, if he still won’t eat something serious is going on.
