No, keep the eggs from getting wet. Put the paper towel, folded into a smallish square, or sponge into a suitable shallow dish of water. That will allow enough moisture to evaporate to bump the humidity up.Should i put a wet paper towel so they hatch on it??
Make it a small and shallow enough dish so that the sponge or towel completely covers the water so no hatchlings drown. All it takes is a chick to let its head drop into water for an instant for it to drown.
