Whats wrong with my gosling? It doesn't walk and its been a lite over 48hours since it hatched. It's also not eating however it does drink water. I hatched 2 geese 2 summers ago and both walked with in 24hours and had no issues eating or drinking. I can tell its weak and it when it does move it scoots on its chest across the ground. I need some thoughts and or ideas on what I should do. What should I feed it. What shouldn't I feed it. Help me. I don't wanna lose a gosling. It just seems to wanna sleep all the time. In the pic its in a basket separated from my baby chics that hatched at the same time cause they just wanna stand on my gosling.

I don’t know if all of these members know much about geese but I know they are often very helpful. I have 2 goslings but I’m very inexperienced with them as I’ve only had them for a week tomorrow. Good luck with your gosling.

Thanks for calling me helpful but I don't know much about geese.
Most Baby poultry don't need to eat for a few days since they have the yolk absorbed and they live on that. It could be cold separated away from the others which could make it sleepy. I think it should be able to eat the chick feed BUT I am not a goose keeper. Also, I see you have wood shavings as bedding, make sure they aren't cedar shavings because cedar can be toxic to poultry.

I amm sorry that I don’t know anything about geese. But, I have hatched a couple of chicks who could not stand and would not eat. That was probably brain damage, and they were euthanized after 2 days of trying to help them, and giving Poultry NutriDrench.

Looks like the OP has received some help on their other thread for this topic :)

I agree with the advice given there, try vitamins to see if it's a correctable vitamin deficiency.
