Cute lil fluffers! In about 4 months you should know lol. My youngest silkies are 5 months and I can just now identify sex. No crows from my lol Roos yet but I can tell by their feathering and attitudes. A lot of people say with silkies you might not know until they crow

Thanks !!! I’ve read that the females can crow also. I have a solid black silkie roo and he crows and he’s about 6 months old are close to it. I’m Really hoping these 2 are females cause he needs a girl in his life. My bigger girls peck him when he gets to close

Lol I didn’t know girls can crow omg My silkies are black too, I need to get legbands to be able to tell the difference between my younger 3 Roos. So far they all get along, next spring I plan on rehoming the 3 I can’t have 4 roosters. My adult roo is the sweetest he’s almost hen like, I’ve caught him sitting on the eggs when our hen leaves them and he cuddles with the 4 young silkies at bedtime
