I have been raising free range chickens for a few years now.
A few days ago, I noticed 3 of my chicks have mole like growths on and around eyes.
I have never seen this on any other chicks or chickens.
Could someone tell me what they are, and, how to treat them?
Thank you,
Deborah

Fowl pox. Just has to run it's course. You can boost their immune systems with a variety of herbs. If they are pretty young some may not make it through it if it's really really bad. But the older they are the better the survival rate is. It's a herpes virus (not contagious to humans) so oregano, rosemary. Herbs like that. It usually lasts about 3 weeks to 5 weeks per bird.
