Does this look normal for a 6-7 month old rooster? Seems like it was not there two weeks ago. Maybe this is normal for roosters I just don’t know.

That does not look good, someone with more chicken wisdom then me will respond im sure.

Looks like some feathers were plucked and the area is scabby. Could be he plucked them himself if there is skin irritation, but could also be someone else plucked him. Check his vent area for lice/mites if you haven't already - that can cause self-plucking.
