That's why the humidity needs to be increased in the incubator. There should be a space under the white plastic grid to put water. Also, most people recommend putting shelf liner like the stuff at the link under the eggs to give the newly hatched birds better traction and avoid splay legs.My problem is the membrane is already dry before they are ready to hatch
