I have a seven week old chick who acts like she is having a hard time breathing and she is sneezing. I have tried vet RX. She is still doing it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Does she have any mucus, food, or crust blocking either of her nostrils? Are there any bubbles or foam in either eye? How is the ventilation in your brooder or coop? Have you added any new birds to the flock from someone else who might be carrying a respiratory disease? How often is she sneezing? Does she sneeze more when she is eating? Viruses such as infectious bronchitis are not affected by antibiotics, but mycoplamsa gallisepticum (MG) can be treated with Tylosin, Denagard, or TiaGard in the water for 5 days. Here is where to buy Tylosin and dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days.

Do I need to separate her? I have three other chicks and they are fine. Can the other chicks drink the same water?

It may take a long time to get it, but I hope it helps. A vet might be able to help you get it faster. Do you have any chicken owning friends who might have some to start? Have you added any new birds from another place lately?
