So recently I have been losing a bunch of chickens
May-25 I lost my RIR velvet we believe a hawk took her
May-26 Then we lost our RIR rooster queso his head was taken off we believe by a raccoon
June-2 we had three dead/missing chicks and two dead guinea keets we believe by a raccoon killed them

We put fencing across the roof

Jun-3 what ever it is found a weak spot in the wire and killed my New Hampshire red daisy and 1 chick

This is getting ridiculous now any tips of what to do will help a lot and if there is any low cost options with a short fix time it will help because I only have 5 days till I leave for vacation and I need it fixed by then

Thanks show chick❤️

Do they have a dedicated run space where they able to get outside but fully locked up with some sort of roofing? Also, do they free range or are just in the run?
They have a run with wire on top and they just stay in the run they keep getting attacked inside of the coop because right now we have 8 week old chicks I am coop training

Attaching 1/2" steel hardware cloth over all openings and vents is the most reliable method of securing a coop but its also the most expensive is why people use chicken wire. Its easier for predators to kill any chickens that are trapped. Sorry for your loss!
