does anyone know of surgeon to fix 1 month old chicks tendon.i love him and dont want him put down.hes trying his best to get better.i live in foothills in ca.went to one avian vet she wasnt much help,she used sponge method on leg and i think it was worse on him.i can find as much knowledge from all my poultry friends here .

use the search... for this forum (I recall a member in california that found an avian vet skilled in that surgery (treated alot of emus and ostriches for it) > she gave the name I believe and it was not expensive... otherwise call the AMA ... this occurs alot in ostriches and emus so look for a vet that treats them if that post did not give the name of the vet (you might try and pm that member )

i live in pioneer ca about 1hour and half from sacramento.i need a vet to fix tendon in baby chick.can anyone give me a name???

today i had baby mickey euthanized.ive been crying all morning and it broke my heart to take him.i know hes no longer suffering,which is good.i just wish the vets around here knew more to save my baby.thanks to those who wrote back.
