So, today is day 25 of incubating turkey eggs. I decided to weigh them one last time just before lockdown and to candle them too. They'd lost a little more weight than perfect, suggesting that my humidity was probably pretty good but a little on the low side. Upon candling them, aside from the one that has died, the others have all pipped internally. Firstly, the humidity hasn't been high enough for lockdown over the last couple of days because they weren't supposed to lock down until today, and secondly, I had them out and was handling them AFTER they'd internally pipped. I only candled four in the end because I didn't want to do any more harm than I've done already but I'm really, really worried about my lil guys

What are their chances given their prematurity, the low humidity and my meddling?

Thanks.

I've got seven pips out of 12 eggs (one chicken egg - hasn't pipped yet). I noticed the first pip at 7am and there's no change although all the eggs are rocking sporadically. I'm so nervous and worked up - this was supposed to be fun!

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm desperately trying to pass the time - it seems to be running backwards in this neck of the woods

I probably did the wrong thing, but when I noticed the first egg that had pipped. I helped the poult the rest of the way. I chipped the egg and membrane away and have a beautiful little poult as a result. I did the same to the second one but noticed bllod in the egg afterward. THEN i read up on hatching eggs and realized if I had just left them alone they would have hatchedout normal in a few hrs (most likely anyway)
