my baby chicks were in the yard with their mom and another hen grab a baby chick by it's toes the mother hen took charge and got the baby back i help because it me mad the litte baby chicke toes is purple will it be ok

You should separate the mama and babies from the rest of the flock so this doesn't happen again. Other hens can eat babies that aren't theirs!

Also you should take the baby chick inside and check for any other damage done. If he's really hurt then you should care for it inside in a brooder until it's better.

i saw it and when the hen grab it i grab herand so did the mom hen i look at it it walks no blood

Just keep an eye out for them then. If you can separate the mama and chicks from the flock like I said then that will be even better!

thanks i thought i killed the other hen when i grab it because all my chickens and dog was quite as a mouse
