Hi everyone.! I bought 8 hens yesterday that are already laying. I have a laying house so would I need to blow out eggs to put in there for them to learn to lay in there.? I know at least 1 hen has been in the sitting in a nesting box that is already laying.

I have heard of people using golf balls and weighted plastic Easter eggs painted white. Our local feed store also sells wooden egg decoys. Just thought this might be a bit less work than blowing out an egg- you'd have fill it with something, or it will get crushed. I'd even wait a bit to see if the others follow the lead of the one using the boxes.
